If you have not had a chance, try the new pavement on from the water tower to the bridge. It is smooth compared to the rough road we have had recently. Koss will be putting the double lines in the middle of the street. The parking lines will be painted by the City of Cimarron. I do not know when that will happen but be watching for the workers.
Koss applied for a permit from the Railroad, but as of now has not received it. I am not sure when the permit will be granted to allow Koss to complete the project. Enjoy the smooth road while you can.
As the concrete below the pavement heats and cools it will move. This will begin the opening of cracks in the highway. They shouldn’t be as large as we have recently experienced, but there will still be cracks. As this happens the city employees will be trying to seal them up, it will be an ongoing project.
The holiday season is rapidly approaching and there are numerous activities happening. Please check into the schedules. You do not want to miss any of the activities.
Tentative schedule for the new water line from the railroad south to D street will begin sometime in March. I am sure there will be some interruptions, but please be patient while the construction is going on. There is some discussion about whether this line is some of the original water lines.
